A festive atmosphere, warm temperatures, cold drinks, delicious food, atmospheric music, and 167 invited long-time employees of the locations in Tuttlingen, Mühlheim an der Donau and Freiburg im Breisgau - this is how you can imagine the anniversary celebration of the KLS Martin Group, which took place on July 21, 2022, in Tuttlingen. In addition to the jubilarians, Emil Buschle, First Mayor of the City of Tuttlingen, and Jörg Kaltenbach, Mayor of the City of Mühlheim an der Donau, were also on hand to extend their congratulations to the particularly long-serving employees.
"You have shown what strength and energy, what reliability and consistency, what talents, what trust, I also say trust in God, is in this wonderful company with its employees. It is exactly because of these qualities of great versatility, high loyalty, and long-lasting faithfulness that KLS Martin has always managed to do better every year," said Emil Buschle.
"This huge number of jubilarians who have been invited today speaks on the one hand for a very good working atmosphere over many years but also first and foremost for you, dear jubilarians. You have remained loyal to the company over a large part, many even during their entire working lives. On behalf of the municipal council, as well as me personally, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your commitment to the good of the company and thus also to the good of our city," said Jörg Kaltenbach.
"Honoring our long-serving employees is a matter of the heart for us and also always a very special occasion that we look forward to. Since it was unfortunately not possible to honor them in person the last two years, we are celebrating all the more today and honoring all anniversaries that took place between 2020 and 2022. The fact that 167 jubilarians have come together here is extraordinary. What is new this year is that we organized the celebration across all locations - in line with the merger of our group companies as part of the KLS ONE project," says Christian Leibinger.
Winfried Mägerle, Bernd Rieger, Jürgen Rometsch, Edgar Grathwohl, Gabriele Stoll and Holger Kiehne celebrated the longest company affiliation with 45 years.
Gerhard Bronner, Olaf Kiehne, Hardy Schaible, Martina Huber, Joachim Rudnick and Uwe Langeneck were honored for 40 years of service.
"Being able to honor so many long-serving employees is no longer a matter of course today. We, therefore, consider ourselves very fortunate and would like to express our sincere thanks to all those celebrating their jubilee. A lot has changed since the early years of the "oldest" jubilarians and we have experienced an incredible amount together. We have continued to grow, created many new things together, mastered challenges and, of course, celebrated successes. Even if it may sound trite in a corporate context - we are one big KLS Martin family," says Karl Leibinger.
Of course, an anniversary celebration should not be without an appropriate supporting program. A specially formed KLS Martin band accompanied the guests through the evening and the three managing directors Karl Leibinger, Christian Leibinger, and Michael Martin reminisced about past moments together with the jubilarians in a round of talks and shared one or two anecdotes, which provided amusement and also touching moments.
"It's a pleasure to get together again in person for once, and then right away on such a solemn occasion. Remembering stories from the past once again is really fun and it's just great to see how long we have been such a close-knit team. We hope that so many long-time employees will continue to join us and become part of our team in the future," says Michael Martin.
