Overall, the Tuttlingen-based KLS Martin Group is very pleased with the course of the past fiscal year. In 2019, the family-run medical technology company generated worldwide sales of EUR 300 million for the first time. Global sales growth amounted to almost 10%, which is a very good growth rate compared to the international industry.
The USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, Italy, Spain and Great Britain were the main contributors to the overall growth in 2019. As in previous years, not only the classic growth markets are among the growth drivers. The main growth driver was the US market. In October 2019, the inauguration of the new training center KLS Martin WORLD North America was celebrated there. The new building at the company’s location in Jacksonville, Florida, is beneath other purposes used for workshops and courses for doctors and clinical personnel.
"The current business development allows us to look positively into the year 2020, for which the KLS Martin Group is planning a double-digit sales growth. To achieve this goal, we will create additional jobs at all locations," explains Christian Leibinger.
2020 will be an eventful year for the Swabian family business. The new production building "Building 70" at Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik in Mühlheim is to be occupied before the summer holidays. New premises for the production and design of implants and biomaterials are currently being created on around 5,300m² spread over three levels. The building will be equipped with new production facilities and clean room technologies and provide space for about 150 employees.
